Price guide

Loan paddles for starters and balls are provided and most indoor venues, with private bookings also available. Dedicated beginner sessions are available at Onehunga and Remuera, and open sessions for all levels at many venues, with help on hand.

Court fees

These are typically $5-$10 per person pert time, from 1.5-4 hours with balls and sometimes basic paddles provided (most players will be more than happy to loan their spare paddle for newcomers). 

Some organisers only take cash and hold club sessions with balls and sometimes basic paddles provided, while others offer EFTPOS, online booking, concession cards and membership subscriptions. This should be marked on the home page calendar under each session time.

Some venues offer private bookings. Some outdoor courts are available without booking (must bring your own equipment, usually including nets).

Events

Tournaments typically range from $20 to $80 per section entry. Some tournaments have an additional event base fee.

Leagues: $10-$30 per person per term.

Coaching

Volunteer-led groups: tyically $8-$10 per person (1-2 hours).

Qualified local coaches: $60+ per hour.

Visiting professional coaches & players: $20-$100 per hour depending on qualifications, international success, and number of people in each clinic.

Club options

Concession cards: typically 10% discount for multiple sessions.

Membership options: typically equivalent of $12+ per week, with additional options available such as pool & gym access depending on venue.

Equipment

Paddles: typically $250-$500 for a quality bat with a kevlar and/or raw carbon fibre face (current state of the art in paddle development).

Balls: typically $7.50 each (balls usually crack after several games and thus need to be replaced).

Nets: typically $250 for a mid-range collapsible net, or $1500 for a durable wheeled net to reside on site.
